March 2025
This month has been filled with all the things. We started the month off with lunch before the General Meeting. A group of MPWC ladies descended upon the West Main Tap Room for a fabulous lunch and lots of laughter. Our speaker for the General meeting was Mr. TJ Sullivan President of the Parker Chamber of Commerce. TJ spoke about the community, what is coming to the community, and all of the amazing events that the Parker Chamber has coming up. We had some amazing celebrations for two of our members. We celebrated Devon's soft opening of her new store SUNMED and Denise's ribbon cutting at ZIGGI'S her new coffee shop. SO EXCITING. Our president Ginger appointed a new Vice President Miss Carol Bernard. Congratulations Miss Carol. The Donations Committee met and approved donations to the following non profits. Parker Task Force, SECOR, CAP Civil Air Patrol, Parker Chamber of Commerce Foundation Women's Experience Program, Step 7 Ministries, GFWC California for the LA Wildfires, Douglas county Backpack Society, Heart2Hand, GFWC Shot@life, Rex Run, Peterson Air Force Base 302nd Support Group, and the Parker Field House. The Women on the GO went to Kiowa to the Thrift stores and to Patty Ann's Cafe for lunch. Next month in April Women on the Go will be going on a backstage tour of The Center for the Performing Arts. Devon is collecting school supplies for the DCSD Foundation, you can bring supplies to the April General Meeting or Devon has a collection box at her SUNMED Store. The group was very active with supporting the community we were at ZIGGI's Ribbon Cutting, The Parker Chamber After Hours Event at SUNMED, Lunch Bunch at the Hickory House and The Garage, and the Women's Forum. Our Book Club read Howard's End by E.M. Foster. The MPWC is getting busy and getting ready for an exciting spring and summer of events and conventions.
February 2025
We have had so much going on this month. We had our General meeting with our speaker Miss Kimba Langas teaching us about Free the Girls an International counter trafficking organization that works with survivors of sex trafficking to help them answer the question "What Next?". www.freethegirls.org
We celebrated Miss Dee Wright's Birthday and her journey back home to Memphis. Women on the Go are going to Glenn Eyrie Castle for Tea and a Tour on Feb 12th. The MPWC Book Club is reading Fourth Wing by Rebecca Yarros. The Donations Committee met to choose which organizations we wish to support in 2025. Stay tuned to see which organizations will be chosen. The MPWC collected diapers and wipes for Heart 2 Hand, and gathered Birthday fun for Birthday Bags and Hygiene products for SECOR Cares. The MPWC Evening Group will be meeting on Thursday February 27, 2025 6pm at Mici's Italian.

January 2025
Happy New Year! Our first meeting of the new year will be 1pm, January 9th. We will be brainstorming on what we want to accomplish this year. Committees will be forming to accomplish our goals. We have chosen to adopt the Colorado 150 America 250 "Sesquisemiquincentennial" Celebration for our annual Bazaar. This year we will be celebrating the 19th Annual Yuletide Bazaar presenting 150Years of Colorado Christmases. Please check out our Bazaar and Bazaar vendors page. Whoo hoo can't wait.
