CLUB NEWS

November 2024
Due to severe weather conditions, the Yuletide Bazaar was moved to November 30th, 9am-4pm at the Parker Fieldhouse. 


October 2024
The club volunteered at the Parker Wine Walk. It was a fun event and we look forward to next years event!


September 2024
In September our club hosted the Colorado Federation of Women's Clubs Fall Board. We had 37 attendees at the PACE Center reporting on club activities throughout the State. We are so proud of our club sisters and all they have accomplished!


August 2024

In August our club volunteered at the Douglas County Fair. We greeted guests and worked the information booth. This is a fun activity and a great way to promote our club! https://www.dcmnfair.com/ 


July 2024
In July we attended the Valley Hope Addiction & Recovery Center ribbon cutting. Our club supports the center by providing hygiene items for the patients.  https://valleyhope.org/ 


June 2024

In June our club volunteered at the Parker Days Festival. We worked several locations enjoying the music and incredible fair food! https://parkerdaysfestival.com/

May 2024
In May our club attended the CFWC State convention in Pueblo, Colorado.  We are very proud to announce that our club earned the following awards:

  • Best of the Best – Leadership
  • Best of the Best – Fundraising & Development
  • 1st Place – Communications & Public Relations
  • 1st Place – Civic Engagement & Outreach
  • 3rd Place – Leadership


 1st Place in Photography was awarded to Ronnie Johnson in the category of “World Up Close”. 


At the May meeting we were honored by meeting several of our high school scholarship recipients. They are an amazing group of young people with a great future! We gave out service awards to members with five and ten years of club membership.  Our new officers for 2024-2025 were installed. It has been a very busy club year and we have much to celebrate!


The club will now take a summer break and resume meeting in September. Our social activities will continue throughout the summer. Activities include Sit & Sip coffee social, group walks every Friday around Bingham Lake and a bi-weekly dominos game called "Mexican Train". We are looking forward to our next fundraiser entitled "Bingo Blingo"! Touchstone Crystal will host the event.  https://www.touchstonecrystal.com/regional/home


April 2024

Our club is expecting a wonderful talk on reverse mortgages, finances and investments by Eric Montgomery from New Way Financial. We will be voting on the new 


March 2024
A speaker from Wellspring Community spoke on the wonderful activities done by the organization. WellSpring is one of our 2023 beneficiaries of last year's Yuletide Bazaar. Take a look at their website https://wearewellspring.org/ for more information on this fantastic organization.


Our club accepted nominations for the new club officers. We will be voting on the slate of officers in April and installing new officers in May. 

February 2024

At our February meeting Sabrina Wright-Hobart spoke on Teen Dating abuse. She is the development coordinator for the Crises Center. 


January 2024

We are gearing up for our 2024 Yuletide Bazaar! Our marketing team is busy working on promotional ideas. Our crafting teams are busy crafting by sewing, knitting and creating all the amazing handcrafted goods for sale at the event.
